LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has been working with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to engage stakeholders in improving how transmission planning and Large Load interconnection activities are performed across the ERCOT Region, including the creation of a Comprehensive Transmission Planning process (see July 8, 2026 Market Notice). The purpose of this effort is to evaluate opportunities to improve coordination across existing planning activities - including model and case building, Batch Studies, the Regional Transmission Plan (RTP), and the Regional Planning Group (RPG) process - and to develop recommendations for a future-state planning and batch framework that supports reliability and economic growth through improved planning efficiency and transparency.
As shared at the August 31, 2026 Workshop #1, ERCOT is issuing a stakeholder survey to solicit feedback and design alternatives ahead of Workshop #2 to be conducted on September 24, 2026.
All stakeholders are invited to complete the survey, however, ERCOT requests only one submission per company. ERCOT will share a summary of the results and key takeaways at Workshop #2 to help prioritize key design elements for modifying the Planning and Batch processes. ERCOT will not attribute specific comments to individual respondents.

Also attached is a copy of all the survey questions to help companies develop a single response, but the online survey tool is the manner in which to submit answers.
ACTION REQUIRED: Participation is encouraged but optional. The deadline to participate in the survey is close of business, Monday September 21, 2026.
