SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of Severe Weather Drill (Winter Storm)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators (TOs) and Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) that represent Generation Resources and/or Energy Storage Resources (ESRs) 

DAYS AFFECTED: October 14, 2026, 08:30 - 09:30

LONG DESCRIPTION: The annual Severe Weather Drill, as required by ERCOT Nodal Operating Guide Section 1.5.4, will be conducted on October 14, 2026, via WebEx, beginning at 08:30. All TOs and QSEs that represent Generation Resources and/or ESRs are required to participate.

The 2026 Severe Weather Drill will focus on enhancing emergency communications between Market Participants and ERCOT. Simulated Hotline calls will include an OCN, Advisory, Watch, and Emergency Notice. The session is expected to last approximately one hour.

ACTION REQUIRED: Participants must register prior to joining the Webex to ensure accurate representation.
